Brian responds, August 22, 2022:

While we appreciate the Biden administration's efforts to help the State of Florida gain an additional $2.5 billion annually from this compact with the Seminoles, it doesn't go far enough.

For too long, the Seminoles have gotten away with avoiding taxes, robbing our state of tax dollars and forcing "we the people" to flip the bill. And the state legislature has turned a blind eye

To this rip off!

I believe we need a better agreement. The Seminole Tribe can have its sports betting, but they need to pay their fair share in state taxes.

Any state compact or state agreement needs the Seminoles to pay the Florida corporate income tax of 5.5% that all other corporate entities in Florida now pay.

Plus, the Seminole Tribe’s casinos and restaurants also need to give the state its sales tax receipts as well, instead of charging the public but not turning the tax proceeds over to Tallahassee.

The Seminoles need to pay their fair share, all the way around.
