Brian was an urban Peace Corps in the city of Panama and lived and worked in the undeveloped neighborhood of San Miguelito. He helped the community of new unemployed migrants arriving from the mountains to the city to erect houses of cardboard and develop new water and electric systems. Brian lived in a partially constructed room with the migrants. After work of 18 months all 120 PCV's were expelled from the country over the mistaken kidnapping of a Panamanian to Texas for prosecution by the Nixon Administration (Attorney John Mitchell and Secretary of State, Henry Kissinger). Brian travelled to the country of Peru in South America and worked for another 18 months with rural migrants from the Sierra mountains seeking employment in the slums of Lima, Peru.
