I am not a candidate for office, but if I were, this is what my socialist platform is and how radically different it would be to the present list of candidates running.

Economic policies:
institute a 5% income tax on all income over $500,000 a year.
cap annual individual earnings at $25 Million; corporate profits at $1 Billion
tax Seminole’s $2.4 billion revenues; only FL. corp. not taxed/pay fair share
tax crypto currency transactions at 3%
cap payday loans at 7% interest to end predatory lending
establish a capital gains or speculation tax of 5%
provide reparations to all mistreated/abused/enslaved ethnic groups historically
build affordable mass transit throughout state
Environmental/Energy Policies
fine chemical and carbon polluters up to 10% of their annual income
fund climate change activities equally in interior and coastal areas of state
increase funding for environmental and water purification & preservation
end contracting spring waters to private companies
Increase desalinization projects on both FL. coastlines
Increase hydro, thermal, solar, biomass and wind as renewable energy sources
strictly regulate AI and oppose construction of data centers statewide
Healthcare, Housing and Education policies:
establish free child care
expand Medicaid/Medicare; health care for all
establish state-run community hospitals
invest in public housing, tenant protections and rental assistance
impose a moratorium on home foreclosures and evictions.
seize foreclosed and abandoned homes; redistribute on need
create community land trusts allowing for home ownership
Eliminate charter schools, and return to 100% public education
Safeguard academic freedom in curriculum choices
Protect student and professor free speech rights and setting university policies
Government Run Agencies:
create a state-funded health system including medical, mental and dental health
institute a universal basic income to end poverty
nationalize power industry in Florida to end price gauging
create state bank to provide student loans/mortgages to low/middle class
establish public elections funded by state
institute a state radio/TV network
institute voting for one week/make one day a paid holiday
return voting rights to ex-felons; ban privately run prisons.
nationalize property insurance industry
Repeal right-to-work law; make Florida union-friendly
Cultural policies:
promote free expression, due process, individual rights and civil liberties
protect LBGTQ/transgender rights
promote sexual education in schools
expand gun registration, ammo/gun limits; no open carry
end revisionist grievance culture of Repubs & cancel culture of Dems
increase women’s pay equity, leadership, open access to abortion
decriminalize all drugs and treat drug addiction
Immigration Policies:
· open the borders, limit vetting, protect asylum seekers, refugees and dreamers
· integrate refugee/immigrant communities
· welcome refugees/immigrants from all continents
build new towns near expressways/rural areas, integrating immigrants/refugees w/ Florida homeowners
Policies Toward Foreign Countries: Oppose wars & nuclear proliferation; aid war-torn/impoverished nations; promote peace talks among nations.
establish Marshall Plan for Gaza and its Palestinian citizens, Cuba and Venezuela
end war with Iran, negotiate former U.S. agreement with Iran
demand peace accords between Russia and Ukraine, Israel and Lebanon, U.S. and Israel
support Puerto Rico’s call for independence
end 67 years-long Cuban embargo, sanctions & oil blockade; create Marshall Plan for Cuba
support Cuban-Americans request for state secession
stop sending U.S. weapons to Israel and Ukraine
withdraw US nuclear warheads from 6 European countries
re-negotiate and support nuclear non-proliferation treaty for ALL countries globally.
stop American politicians/US officials’ declarations of victory in U.S.-Israeli war with Iran.
reduce U.S. defense budget by 50%; cancel future defense expenditures for the Iran war
reduce U.S. military installations by 50%, or what is considered reasonable
