Wander Franco: An Injustice still to come!

I do not agree with the 3-judge panel's guilty verdict on Wander Franco. The supposed violations were committed in a different country, in a different culture, where sexual mores and poverty play an important part.
Furthermore, the ages of Franco and the girl at the time, 21 and 14, could be compared to Shakespeare's young lovers Romeo and Juliet (13 & 19), and Jerry Lee Lewis (13 & 22, who were first cousins).
In the US there are eleven states that allow consensual sexual activity as young as 13 years, and ten states as young as 14 years---if there is mutual consent and the age difference is not significant; or if there are no violations of trust or authority involved.
Brain development in males generally continues until around age 25, when decision-making and impulse control are one of the last areas to mature. Optimal judgment and reasoning, is typically reached in the mid to late 20s.
The potential hypocrisy of The Rays and Major League Baseball, and the media, acting as judge, jury and executioner, when there are so many flagrant violations by well-known people in our culture and in US professional sports, is appalling.
Ex-congressman Matt Gaetz was forced to withdraw from his nomination as President Trump's US Attorney General, and to retire from Congress, for having sex with an underage girl and for paying for sex with other young girls.
What is wrong with our county when understanding and forgiveness is lacking, not to speak of hypocrisy.
